We provide The Knowledge Empowers You (KEY) Program for all new incoming undocumented scholars and their families. The program is intended to assist scholars and their families through the transition to UC Merced. In addition, the program also provides an introduction to the array of programs and services that we provide to undocumented students during their time at UC Merced. Approximately 15 incoming freshmen participate in this program.
Each year the KEY program addresses topics specific to undocumented scholars and their families such as:
- Understanding Your Financial Aid
- Know Your Rights
- Life after College as An Undocumented Scholar
- Campus Involvement
- Campus Resources
- Research Opportunities for Undocumented Scholars, etc.
- Legal Services
The KEY Program is completely FREE.
