Knowledge Empowers You! (KEY Program) - Summer 2023 Coming soon!

The Office for Services for Undocumented Students annually provides the Knowledge Empowers You (KEY) Program for all new incoming undocumented scholars and their families. The Program is intended to assist scholars and their families through the transition to UC Merced. In addition, the program also provides an introduction to the array of programs and services available through the Office for Services for Undocumented Students to support undocumented scholars during their tenure at the University.

Each year the KEY program addresses topics specific to undocumented scholars and their families; e.g.,

  • Understanding Your Financial Aid,
  • Know Your Rights,
  • Life after College as An Undocumented Scholar,
  • Campus Involvement,
  • Campus Resources,
  • Research Opportunities for Undocumented Scholars, etc.
The KEY Program will be virtual and presented in two parts for Scholars. A scholar need only choose one session - REMEMBER each session is in two parts on two separate days.Parent/Family Members participating in the KEY Program need only register for one 4-hour session.  There is no fee for the KEY Program.

Section 1: Wednesday, June 8, 2022 and Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Section 2: Saturday, June 18, 2022 and Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
June Sessions for Parent/Family Members (ENGLISH):
Session 3: Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
July Sessions for New Incoming Scholars:
Session 4: Tuesday, July 5, 2022 and Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
